Dubai, UAE – 13 July 2017, – Qarar, the region’s leading decision analytics company, has appointed Sabrina Alavi as its new Country Head for Pakistan. Based in Karachi, she will be responsible for driving strategic development, partnerships and business growth for Qarar within Pakistan’s banking and finance industry. With increasing demand for software and advisory services in the advanced analytics space, Qarar has increased its commitment and focus on Pakistan  to offer clients more opportunities to implement advanced analytical solutions to support better decision making capabilities.

Sabrina brings considerable experience in retail banking to the role, having worked at United Bank Limited Bank (UBL), Pakistan as the head of credit policy and analytics. During her career with UBL, she led several key projects including the successful implementation of behaviour scores for consumer products – a first in Pakistan. This was followed by her effective implementation of application score models, and she also oversaw UBL’s consumer product portfolio, international portfolio, manual lending and SME product programmes. Her other responsibilities included managing the risk side of overseas offices and internal departments in the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. Prior to joining UBL, Sabrina worked with Citibank London for four years and earned a BSc honors degree in Economics from the University of London.
